Were was the car located? I had a friend look at a car for me, it was located in Upper Darby, PA. It was the same colors, the owner of the car work at a auto repair center on Marshall and Bermont road. I passed on the car because it did not have any documentation or certification and the rear and trans were incorrect and the block had no #'s according to his inspection. The POP in the glove box was from an Impala. Can't be the same car could it??? Where was the car located? Do you have any documentation or certification.?

This is why you should look at cars yourself. Your Friend gave you Bad information, if he was even able to see the car at all. the numbers are stamped into the rough cast on the Block. This Car is THE CAR in the 1969 CAMARO REFERENCE GUIDE by John R. Hooper as the example of a COPO CAMARO. They spent Hours pouring over the car confirming Part numbers and Date codes. The former Owner is no Fool and neither am I. the car has been to numerous Chevy shows and won many awards. please refrain from discussing my car in a negative light as you have never seen it.

I believe Paceme was asking a valid question.
Just because the car shown in Hoopers book is suppose to be your car that he used as an example of a COPO, I would hope that it was never used as a buying factor. There are dozens of cars in books suppposedly representing different models that are in fact copies or fakes.

I believe Paceme's question was valid, when you purchased this COPO did it come with the certification or supporting documentation from Ed Cuneen or from anyone else for that matter?

[/ QUOTE ] Well Rick, You can remove My Car from your list of Potential "DOZENS of FAKES or COPIES". The Car was officially Certified By the COPO Connection on April 13th, 2005. you will also note it is the Only COPO from REEDMAN Chevrolet that has been Certified as yet. While doing My investigation on this car I have uncovered knowledge that there were 3 other COPO Camaro's at REEDMAN. My White 4 speed Car. A Yellow 4 speed Car with Front and Rear Spoilers. (The Owner Died of Injuries sustained in 1974 when He totaled the Car) a Green Radio Delete 4 speed Car, and a Blue Automatic Car that was purchased by a Black Man from Morrisville New Jersey. the Cars were sold within Days of their arrival. Due Diligence combined with Good Fortune has proven to be a Positive experience in this Case. I have compiled a Ton of knowledge that I was unaware of upon my initial Posting of this Car. I am just wrapping up my investigation as I have a complete Owner History as well. The Car was never Registered more that 50 Miles From REEDMAN Chevrolet from Day 1, including Right Now! I am the 5th Owner. This was a Very Special Car long Before it was put in HOOPER's Book in 1991. when the rest of that information is compiled, I will write a Nice Story with a Happy Ending.

Great news. When did Ed see your car? I still would like to see the car, possibly I will be down around mothers day.

Hi Dave, By no means do I think anybody was questioning your integerity, or validity of your car. This is just a discussion board and you are a new person to the board. Chill man! You have a great car. We would love to see more. Need to make a few more posts before you can attack us!

Sam I don't think 12bolt attacked us....maybe Paceme and 12bolt should get together offline and compare notes.
