Check out a book called "Vintage Car Wrecks" by Rusty Herlocher. It will bring back some bad memories for old guys like me. The book has about 60 pages of demolished musclecars, including one 67' Stingray identifiable only by the dash and the steering wheel. People have been doing stupid things for a long time.

Scary pics. My dad had a couple of friends who wrecked their '66 Singray so bad that they both ended up still sitting in their seats on the ground with pieces of Vette all around them. They were lucky with only minor cuts and bruises.

Kinda' like Jan Berry of "Jan and Dean" fame. He had a '66 Vette and he ran it under a parked truck at about 90 mph. Should have killed him but he survived in a somewhat vegitated state. The Corvette was completely demolished. The homeowner who lived at the accident site said it sounded like a large explosion when Berry's Vette impacted the parked truck. Just think of what cops have to deal with when they arrive on such gruesome scenes.
