The NICB report that I got last year. See the Berger forum.
The car looks the same today as when we got it. Left the factory as 71 71 LeMans blue, was painted black sometime in the 80's(?). They used real good paint. Emron maybe.
The car was wrecked, rebuilt with GM sheetmetal, and is missing just about all of the X11 trim. Still looks good for a beater.

Here is the clip from Wizard Magizine. Think of them as the Hemmings of comic books. They sponsored the contest.
Issue #39, Nov. '94.
God bless them.

Very cool...its very fortunate the car ended up in the hands of someone who had a clue what it was and didn't turn it into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle parade vehicle or something...

Here is a close up of the face. The character's name is Lord Tyler. I have no clue as to why.
Keep in mind that this is a ZL-2 hood, and the center ridge runs right thru the middle of his face. How anyone can paint on a curved surface and make it look flat is incredible. The camera can never do it justice.

Sort of reminds me of the Frank Frazetta stuff from the 60s and 70s. very nice work, but i think i'd prefer it better on canvas instead of my COPO hood... It makes some very cool wall art though!

Hey, cool piece...I would put it back on the car. Talk about seperating it from the other COPOs.
