[ QUOTE ]
Barnfind,he thought the car was cortez silver and i told him it was green because that was what you said so it could be the same car! [/ QUOTE ] Well, it does have a tarp and it is in the right area...could be the same car. I think it DOES still have the engine in it by the way it is sitting. Maybe someone needs to go over there and try to get a look at it (the owners of the property have never been very friendly). It may be time to find out who owns the property to see how old the owners are. Might be worth waiting for if only for the drivetrain. ![]()

I have come to the realization that these Pack Rats suffer from a strange sense of Delirium! They truly believe that someday they will get it together enough to actually work on the Damned Cars or Their Property or whatever else it is in their life that they clearly cannot tend to. it is a very frustrating process for Car enthusiasts to deal with as we want to Rescue and restore while the truly deranged are content on watching Gold turn to Dust! They just never see the transformation. My tip of the day to all is quite simply this: Continue to Call. Keep "Stopping by". eventually "Somebody" is going to score. It may as well be you! I once scored a 67 SHELBY GT350 the firtst time I knocked on the door! The guy opens the door and asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted the Car. He laughed and said, "100 guys have been to the door over the years and I told every one of them, "No"! Then, just yesterday, a guy stopped by and asked to look the car over. I realized it was time to let it go as I just will never get to it. I gave him a price and he said he would be back. He never showed. I Seized the Moment and asked the price. we went and looked the car over, I had $600 in my Pocket and Came back within 2 hours with a Flatbed and the Balance due. Moral to the story is, Some Clown was a day late and a Dollar Short. Do Not Be The Clown!!

This is'nt really a great find but it pertains to 12bolt's comment. My buddy's father has an old edsel sitting in the weeds in the back yard, and for some reason he feels this car is worth a fortune as it was the car of the day back than. I've tried to convince him that it was a lemon of a car than and it is now. However we may feel about the car, he has let it sit in the garden slowly sinking and rotting away, and is basically worth nothing now, but yet someday.......... There is no talking to him to at least store it properly if he thinks it's worth something. He also has a 79 t-bird he bought brand new with 5000km on it. He bought the most basic model with the intention of storing it as a collector piece as it was the last year of the big birds and theres no telling him anything different.

68 L89 Camaro with 28,000 miles on it. Needs complete restoration. Have known all owners of this car since 1972 - I even owned it for 3 months in 1980. Sold it to a friend, who still has it and has put maybe 100 miles on it in 25 years.

There is a legit. 1968 ram air gto in Harrison, NY. It is at this guys house sitting outside rotting. It has been there for a long time. I know it is legit because my dad sold it to the guy back in the 80's. Too bad because there are very few legit 68' ram air gto's out there.
