Sounds like some Lawyer is going to make some money!Would the Seller of this be liable possibly or would they go back to the people or person that changed the car to be what it is now.I know if I was the buyer of something like that I would be especially for that type of money!

-------I dont know anybody that I talked to at B-J that didnt know that this car had a serious identity problem. When this car and the black/red 425 66 roadster both brought so much we all looked at each other in total dis-belief. There were other cars that deserved a tall bid so much more but for whatever reason didnt have the eyeball. I dont know how the car was presented by the owner verbally, but the catalog description is just begging the new owner to take it back to B-J and get a check back plus compensation. They have done it before and will probably do it again sometime in the future. Maybe thats how Craig amasses his "collection", LOL!............Bill S

I sent an email to B-J about this car, I thought you might like to see it along with their response...

[ QUOTE ]
Have you been made aware of this claim about your lot number 450.1 at your last auction? Please follow this link and read - http://www.docrebuild.com/dr-r-web/c...vents-56a.html

If this is true at the very least you should publicize who "restored" this car from a yellow small block into a black big block car...

Thanks for your attention, your reply is appreciated.

These are not our cars, and we do not represent them. They are represented by the owner. We provide the venue that brings buyers and sellers together. Thanx—John

Not that I condone this, but in B/J defense, they did & do state to all Sellers,Buyers & Spectators before the auction, that all they can do is Verify the VIN# presented on a Vehicle does indeed corolate to that Vehicle.
If there is a dispute,it is between the Buyer & Seller.
