Pull the back seat and look at the rear seat cross brace. Probably an x-code there in grease pencil.

I found mine on top of the gas tank, drivers side front corner. Drop the tank a little and take a flashlight and see if you see it. I have never heard of a buildsheet for a Van Nuys 69 Camaro found anywhere but there.

I had a '69 L78 SS Camaro convertible built at the Van Nuys plant, the build sheet was on the gas tank, it is called a Chassis Broadcast Copy, there is also a Body Broadcast Copy sheet as well in 1969, however I have never seen one on a Van Nuys plant built Camaro.

More research. Car has single 3/8 fuel line, has brake junction block attached to frame under driver door. Has plate bolted to the frame over rear wheel on drivers side. The original owners manual is stamped Dana Chevrolet. Has SS emblem on grille but not rear panel. No engine size designation on front fenders. Can not be a COPO as the car has factory air unless added later which seems unlikely. Does have original cowl hood with all mechanics in hood still functional including insulation pad. That does not fit with an SS but could have been added later even though it is a GM hood. Power disc brakes. All rosewood trim interior including steering wheel which looks like walnut instead of rosewood.. No console gauges but has tach and center fuel gauge. Has extra heavy duty rear leaf springs with strange mushroom top looking original rear shocks. Has curved neck 4 core harrison radiator. Many COPO details except not possible with air. Possibly 396/350? Todays project will be pulling back seat looking for chaulk X code and/or build sheet, removing alternator to decipher numbers and codes stamped on current small block which does not appear original as it looks cobbled. Droping fuel tank looking for build sheet. I will also get some pics to post. Anything else I should look for in particular or take pics of that may help here?
Thanks,
Motown

Cowl hood was optional on SS equipped cars.

Personally, I'd like to see that Dana stamp on the owners manual.
