Like Wilma said, without the original engine, or paper work, you're pretty much out of luck.
I Think the 3/8 fuel line w/return line indicates standard rochester 4 bbl...I could be wrong. Not 100% sure if a 4bbl was available on a Non-SS car.
Obviously, with all of the exterior trim on the car, the rear trim panel could have just been part of the deluxe exterior trim. (ie non-SS) Does it have a 12 bolt rear?
Again not absolute, but another +.
I'd be very skeptical on this one.

Hey Dave,
Look for the extra exhaust plate on the driver's side frame rail. That may be your only/last clue!

Marlin, could you be more specific about that exhaust plate? Are you talking about the dual exhaust hangars near the rear of the car? Marc

Not exactly, as I think all Novas may have some of those Riv-Nutz installed for the exhaust hangers.

The true dual exhaust cars have a plate welded onto the driver's side frame rail to hold the hanger for the tail pipe. If you look into the driver's side rear wheel opening, you will see this plate. It will have two threaded holes in it as well, which is where the tail pipe hanger bolts to. The plate is approx. 3" x 5", give or take an inch either way.

Let me know what you find on your car!

Thanks Marlin, I understand what you are talking about now. My girl is all bundled up out in the garage but I'll be looking in a few weeks. Marc
