This is out the back window of my building. Look at how high the snow is on the table. Has to at least be a foot. I know there are areas where there is a lot more snow but try driving in this in city traffic during rush hour!

A taste of Chicago.

This is what most people do when they spend an hour digging out a spot on the street to park in. They use crates, chairs, etc. to save their spot. All I can say is DON"T be the guy that steals their spot! You will probably come out to see your car windows busted out or tires slashed!

Thank god I own the building or I would be out on the street as well where your car is at serious risk of getting hit by a car or plow truck in this mess!

Hey Frank,
Even if they don't hit your car, it will get packed in so tight by the snow plow that you can't move it! When I lived in southern New Hampshire, teh plow would always come down our street right after I finished shoveling the driveway and block it up with compact snow and ice....ugh.

One great thing about living in Seattle, you don't have to shovel rain!

Frank,

Look on the bright side!

The Sierras in Northern California are getting pounded with snow! Kirkwood Ski resort in the Lake Tahoe area got 110" from the last storm they had
and they have 119"-179" on the ground now at the BASE of the mountain...and it's snowing now!(that's 10-15 feet).
Click here for more info Kirkwood Ski Resort Snow Report

Damn, I wish I was there...though Flagstaff here in Arizona looks pretty good, too!

There, now don't you feel better?

Well Frank, the weather cycles are sure weird of late. Normally by early January we would have about 3 to 5 feet hanging around. However, so far this winter I've only had to blow out my driveway three times which included last night. Our precipitation this winter seems to be mostly comprised of freezing rain

I tell ya what - working for a snow blower manufacturer sure does have it's perks!...especially when they need hours put on test units...!
