"After two years of watching the Ford Mustang enjoy tremendous success, General Motors finally launched its entry into the pony car segment, the Chevrolet Camaro."

Guess this means we have to wait for 2007 for another Camaro?

Rich, it does have the power disc brakes.

Guess we'll have to wait and see about a camaro comeback, might be interesting.

Kewl,
my "first love" first car (1980-81)was a 69 Camaro, 307, 3 speed stick car. Saved 350 dollars over two whole years. My dad was a mechanic. At first, he did not want me to get the car "To Fast" he says. The old man selling was asking 500, but went down to 450. My parran (godfather) lent me the extra 50$, and talked dad into it. As I could not drive a stick yet (and at 15!) Dad had to drive it home. I will never forget when we got about six blocks from home, he turns to me as he stops at a stop sign. Grins. Then says, "Son, if I ever" punches it, leaving a trail of smoke and rubber, "Catch you" Churps second gear, "doing this" shifts into third "I will take it away and keep it for myself!"
We spent a year fixing her up. Cam, headers etc, painted it deltron "firethorn" red with keystone classics. Posi in the 10 bolt.
Two years later, when I was a senior, I was in the distributive education (business class) program and went to a convention over a fri-sat-sun. When I came home, my mom had a funny story. The neighbors came over to talk to my mom and dad, concerned. It seems that they "caught" me drag racing the previous saturday night, and wanted my mom and dad to do somethings about it. Of course, that was the weekend that I was at the DE convention! Dad had "snuck" the car out and was dragging with the high school kids! Can you say BUSTED!
