I seem to remember the Super Chevy article too, and I think the car was part of the Carl Dwiggins collection... If I recall correctly, the article boasted about the rare green interior with the BY paint, but the pic of the trim tag showed that the car was originally fathom green...
![]() I do know there was a BY 69 Z or Z clone at Super Chevy in Bristol TN this year, but I think it too was a repaint...at least it had black stripes...

It would be cool to find that article and see if it was a repaint or not. I don't know why i'm so affixed on the B/Y color right now, but it truly intriques me and I want one. I have only ever seen the one that was posted here, and yes it was butternut and not daytona. When I took the photo in this post, I was at the show with my Daytona Yellow Z/28, and the 2 cars were a world apart in colors as this one was pastel colored. At the time, it didn't appeal to me too much, but this color has grown on me since then. Especially when you see this on a Z/28 with black stripes. I have a picture of one with black stripes and it looks killer. I will own one of these soon if I can find one.
