I don't read or post on the rabbit's forum, but a couple of my buddies forwarded me a thread from that site that I find interesting, if not amusing. It's become personal now, so after this public defense of my integrity, I'll keep my remarks off line so as not to disturb the mood and agenda on either of the forum sites involved.

Well I will be, the head detective speaks!!! Hey SS, I would not have to get a new login on your piddly little site if your small minded and paranoid moderators hadn't wanted to hear any dissenting opinions and banned me!! Yeah I am talkin about 454 something or other. Why did he ban me? Was it who I associate with, or could it be that I outed a couple of his buddys obviously faked cars? Or could it be something else? Well only the shadow knows. If any of you people had the chutzpah to hear a dissenting opinion, instead of all those magpies singing, you would not have to ban so many people, and maybe the site would not be losing credibility as it is.
By the way SS, tell the world about your new Dick Harrell car. The Super Chevy magazine says you have a new one. Or could someone be not telling the whole truth on this either?

When, in the span of 4-5 hours one day last week, you use an assumed name to post on the sYc and email me at my personal email address, I naturally become curious about your motives. It was clear to me that your sYc forum post was meant to stir a pot that's already bubbling and the condescending email you sent me only confirmed your malicious intent to cast a calumnious aspersions about my car. Do you know anyone that displays their cars out in the sunshine more than I do? Do you know anyone that has ever witnessed, or even thinks I'm capable of misrepresenting any car in my collection at a show or in a magazine? In the case of the magazine article you refer to, I had 6 cars at the SuperCar Reunion last September...do you think there's any chance the writer inadvertently posted the wrong description under the picture of my RG COPO Camaro? Do you really think that meets the minimum to suggest that I personally misrepresented anything about that car? Stop it, Bill...you're making yourself look silly! As for your comments about fake cars, I think most people would concede that you have quite an imagination, so your opinion about any car's legitimacy probably deserves some skepticism. The sYc forum site has nearly 2,400 members and I only recall 6-7 site users being banned in the last 3 years. If you're on that list, then mathematically you represent less than one half of one percent of the membership. You apparently frequent the sYc forum site, so does that put in question your credibility? What color is the sky on your planet, Bill?

PS: I have a friendly relationship with a few of the folks that frequent and post on the rabbit forum board, so I hope all this nonsense doesn't create more acrimony than already exists. -SS

Do I need to magnifiy this photo to see the DH badges? Seems pretty plain as day to me and I claim to be no expert on Supercars.

No Rick your safe. The signs are yours. But apparently in an upcoming issue of Musclecar Enthusiast your car belongs to Soupy Sales.

Steve, Any Show would welcome your collectin of Cars and we all know that. What really caught me off guard with that post is I guess he didnt check with Dave Libby who was at SCR7 to see how the car was displayed. I would bet that Dave never said your R/G COPO was displayed as a Harrell Car because IT WAS NOT!!! Does he really think that you would try to pass a COPO car off as a Harrell car esp with Mr Libby there!!!!

Some things in life never change, including mis-information in magazines. But, in defense of Bob McClurg, who I know does his best to get things right, and feels bad when an error occurs, he was under a lot of pressure the weekend of SCR7. He was surronded by over 75 very special cars, each with its own unique story, and only had two days to photograph them and gather info. This would be tough for anyone, but especially tough for Bob, as he was not aquanited with any of the owners.

Bob has told me that he is looking forward to shooting even more features at SCR8, and feels things will go a lot more smoothly, since he is now part of the sYc family.

Don't sweat it Steve. Those guys are a bunch of losers. I would say that 99.9% of them DON"T own supercars and a good percentage of them don't even own any car at all. Not that there is anything wrong with that because I have been there, but to bash the guys that do have them?? Why are they so jealous? Seriously? It is truly mind boggling.

The funny thing is that there "leader" tried to go off on his own and FAILED MISERABLY!!! Now he claims that he is not even interested in supercars anymore! Could that be because you have alienated a $hit load of people that own them and they do not want to have anything to do with you anymore? The rest of them, ones that were banned, exiled, lost souls, who knows. Most of these guys are wrapped up in bad deals, fake cars, inner fighting, money, money, money, and have no true love for the hobby.

The sad part is that most people reading this have no idea what we are talking about and probably don't even care. I don't blame them. The bottom line is that the Yenko Sportscar Club is truly a great bunch of people. I bet a huge number of active members/posters can read this and honestly say that they have learned more than they ever have about these cars, obtained the car of there dreams, and met the best bunch of people they ever have in this hobby right here. I know I have and I bet those guys over there have through this site as well.
