Steve, that Drag Racing Magazine is the issue that I posted photos from (a few pages back now) of the 69 RAV Firebird.

Steve:
Not to jump the subject, but I should have asked you something when you asked me about the Magnum's.

Did you ever do any research into some of the lesser known Tin Indian's?

I been trying to find a picture or info on his 68 GTO. I know it set a D/S record, but not much else. I asked Bill K. a few years ago at the Tri-power Nationals, but he could not remember much specific.

Thanks - Brian

Brian

I believe I have seen a pic of it one time but do not remember where, if I find it I will pass it on to here.

Here is what I found a while back as for the record:

This is a little unusual I would think...

This Knafel Pontiac may be a Canadian Pontiac Acadian. I used to see Acadians and Beaumonts (A-body) all the time up in Canada. A few years back at the POCI Nats, a guy had what looked like a 64 Nova, but it was an Acadian with a 427 stuffed under the hood. They never made them with 427's, but it was a cool concept. Definately drew a lot of snooty looks from GTO guys as they passed by, with phrases like "How did that Chevy get in here?"

The only reason I think this may be a Knafel Pontiac Acadian is that it appears to have a split grille.
