The distributor shield should be in the Deuces since they used the same dist part #. How often do you see a LS6 dist with the shields? From what I hear, not often. [/ QUOTE ] Kurt, per the blueprints, all 1111437 (LS6) distributors were to be delivered with the shields installed. As a mechanic back in the late 70's and early 80's, I recall this being one of the VERY first things that got tossed the first time the distributor cap came off the car. I agree however, it is not often you still see any installed on cars today.
