Fishy to say the least. But I sure like redlines for some reason.

There's nothing JL8 about that car. It has a BW coded rear which is not a 4 wheel disc rear. Somebody did a conversion kit to the rear and those are 80's Cadillac calipers with the built in parking brake. Talk about imagination. This car was for sale on Ebay earlier this year. Fishy is a good description for this car.

I may be way wrong but isnt that brake booster from a early '80's Chev diesel powered truck...??? I think they were supposed to work in low vacuum situations somehow....

The person who posted the auction spent a ton of time on it. Very professional and I like the "clickable" descriptions. Not many auctions include a video to watch also.

Indeed it is... I believe they worked off the power steering pump, hence all the additional fittings and hydraulic lines hooked to the back of it. Probably the only 69 camaro I ever saw with a setup like that! Looks like the alternator came from the same truck...
![]() I like how when you click on the link to the "Immaculate Trunk" it has an arrow pointing to the tire and jack, like you wouldn't have known what that was without the diagram. ![]()

I had a war of words with this seller over a car he listed last spring. It ended with him threatening to send his lawyers to see me and me giving him my address and contact info to follow up on. He listed a white 69 RS/Z that had quite a few things wrong with it and described it in a less than honest fashion. I enlightened him and he got very upset with me (lol). Anyways, he is located in Florida yet lists his selling state as Houston for some reason. I think to label him as a creative car prostitute would we fair and applicable. Those are my 2 bits...

[/ QUOTE ] I just went out to the garage and that is the exact same booster setup that is on my 95 Diesel Suburban 2500 4X4. I just wanted to make sure my truck hadn't been stripped, after seeing those photos! ![]() |
