I noticed that too. The shifter should be offset, like a bench seat car, with the bezel that wraps down the side of the tunnel. Nice car regardless!

Looks like an aftermarket "flat stick" Hurst shifter with a '70 Deuce (or '69 Camaro w/ console) black painted ring and boot.

Took a closer look at the engine shot. $69k cars don't have screw style hose clamps, in line gas filters and non oem battery cables. There are some other little things that jump out too. I'm not sure that this car was always a 4spd??
If this vehicle goes for that price then my portfolio just increased.

Its a nice looking Nova, but personally, I'd be lookin for a little ol' small block Yenko Deuce if I was spending that much coin.

The shifter setup looks odd to me and I have tracked a # of these cars the last couple of years and found quite a few that were converted. Maybe it is legit but I would like to see the POP and the vin on the trans as well as the other component ID's. You have to remember that most of these cars were raced back when and there are very few original unmolested ones left. Trans swaps were common, especially to auto from 4spd. Just my thoughts, gotta see the car to know the real story. TW

Actually, here's a '69 Yenko Camaro that sold there for over $200K... same clamps...hmmmmmm I guess your portfolio DID just increase!
No one claimed the car was perfect or an original survivor car with no mods.

Welcome to the site.. Part of the drill on cars for sale is the scrutiny they get from members on this site. The members have some of the finer collectible cars in the country, but more than that they have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Many cars are discussed on this site and the questions and answers help many who are new to the sport. Ultimately all cars speak for themselves and that can only happen by first hand inspection. Hopefully you will do well with your car, good luck. Tom Willimas
