[ QUOTE ]
All due respect to the Steelers, who MIGHT have been able to beat Seattle in a fair game. We'll never know. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] ![]() ![]() ![]() I agree it wasn't their best game, but still enough to more than double their opponent's score. Finally got one for the thumb... time to start working on the other hand. ![]()

[ QUOTE ]
hawks had a touchdown fair and square and there was nothing wrong with it..we all looked at the replay they both touched each other not grabbing or holding etc....if it had been the other way around I would say they had a touchdown as well [/ QUOTE ] Even Michael Irvin, when watching the instant replay, agreed that he'd done that same thing at least 100 times in his career and both he and Steve Young thought there was no interference. Then Rothesberger (sp?) knew he'd come up short and when he landed on the 1/2-inch line he quickly looked up toward the ref and slid the ball quickly into the end-zone. Yeah, yeah, the ball "crossed the plane" in the air before Rothes____? landed but he looked like a kid trying to steal candy at the supermarket when he looked up and slid the ball forward. He knew he wasn't in. That was a home game for the Steelers too. Okay, that's my rant on the game. Congrats to the Steelers and to Bill Cower. ![]() |

I disagree, but I can't say I'm not biased, just like someone from WA can't say they aren't biased the other way... OK, so give the C-Hocks another touchdown...heck, throw in the extra point too.. Steelers STILL win, 21-17.

Glad the Steelers won. The Seahawks players are a class act, not one player complained about the refs. Pittsburgh was the better team that day, both teams played crappy.
Hopefully we can get Alexander next year, he's a free agent. |

How is the plane of the goal line defined? Any part of the stripe, the middle of the stripe or the end zone end of the stripe? I'm guessing it's the first otherwise there's no way the QB's TD could have counted...
[ QUOTE ] OK, so give the C-Hocks another touchdown...heck, throw in the extra point too.. Steelers STILL win, 21-17 [/ QUOTE ] Ahhhh, but what happens if you give back the interference call and take away the second effort TD? That's a swing of 13 points before the Seahawks even kick the extra point. ![]()

Maybe they should have widened the goal posts 2 feet too so Seattle could get the ball through...
