Yup, they made them. They're known as the last "real" Z. -or were for a while. Same engine and power rating as '73 (L-82), but was only available in 49 states. CA was stuck with the LM-1 I believe.

One '75 built? -Aahh...the only thing I ever heard of was basically a '74 with all the pollution crap and detuning needed to meet '75 specs built to see what it would do. It wasn't any better then the base engine. That was supposedly one of the reasons it was dropped.

'75 was another good one for fake Zs (among all the others). As a kid I would try and pic them out at shows. I still do, but I should mention that my neighbor would put Z emblems on any Camaro even if it was an SS. Why?, "it looks cool"

I can see the err of my post now... I was looking for a Z in the fall of '74, so the '75 models were now on the floor. This is why I ended-up buying a '75 T/A instead -- which I'm glad I did. It was a great car and very fun to drive.

I bought a new Z on Jan. 11 of 74. I sold it six months later for a 69 Vette. I still have the window sticker for it though. It was red with a white vinyl top and decals. Similar to the one pictured above. Cream color interior though. LT package 4 speed. Cool car. I saw it in 86. A girl owned it at the time. She had it parked in a Pizza Hut parking lot. I spoke to her briefly and she said it was drinking oil. I just chuckled. It used a qt every 500mi when it was new. The zone rep told me that was normal . I have a saved search in Ebay for those. Maybe it will pop up and I can give the window sticker to the owner.
