Actually I’m impressed with your cars engineering, very nice suspension work. You shouldn’t take GM’s failure in US marketing skills so personal. When John Delorean masterminded the 64 GTO, he created a market. What was the 2004 GTO suppose to accomplish? Who did GM target with this car?
The 64 GTO was genius, the 67 F body was genius, the RAV was genius, and in my book Delorean was genius….. but they tried to drop this 2004 GTO in the middle some where. It was a marketing maneuver that at this time appears to have failed, year end sales totals will be the final word. I’m disappointed in the lack of styling yes, but more disappointed that it hasn’t worked well. We love the GTO over here, and the worst thing would be for it to flop. |

Even though I've got an '04 GTO (for the moment).. I agree with alot of the comments on the styling.. The way the car is and looks... I actually like it.. but it should not have GTO emblems on it.. Call it anything else and it would be a big seller.. To carry the GTO flag, the car should just SCREAM GTO.. The '04 does not.. But as far as what it is, it is an awesome machine.. I've practically destroyed the rear tires on it already.. I've had it up to 152mph in 5th gear with tach and another gear to go and it was still pulling like a mother***** and sticking to the road like you would not believe.. I let Pantara drive it and even he was impressed with it.. Perhaps he can chime in here and use his own words on his opinion of the car.. but I agree.. It should be called Monaro.. or something else besides GTO.. but damn is it a fun ass car! I got about 5700 miles on it and NONE of those miles were put on in a tender fashion.. I drive the everloving piss out of that thing
