The record Cat ran 8.38.. Driver knows he can run in the high 7's, I was told that safety is an issue. That weekend one sled lost it in the lights at 138.. Resulting in a dislocated shoulder and broken ankle.

It gets scary at those speeds. When that track hooks you better be holding on.
