Joe..! That is a good pic to show him why we feel this is not the correct hood.

You can see the gap at the top of the LF fender where the fender meets the windshield. In that pic of the blue car, it plainly shows it does not belong on the car originally. Originally there is a small SS/painted trim piece on 68-72 cars that the blue car is missing. You can clearly see the hood and the fender do not line up properly in the pic because it is missing.

On 73-79 vettes the fender is made taller in that area and it continues the curvature of the back edge of the hood in the area where the trim piece would normally go.

It should line up with the curve of the hood and end at the door.


Also Joel did not build any of his cars with the stock chrome side mirror. He used the sleek looking for the time period Mustang GT mirrors on both sides.
