Here is the cowl tag info. I think the numbers are right. It was about dark when I got them and I was worried about getting shot.

Well , if you get a chance, ask him in a hypothetical way---If he was to ever sell the car what amt. would he want-at least you can start his wheels turning and you can see if it is a realistic amt----Good Luck---JoeG

You could start sending him Fathers Day cards as a last resort

The Father's Day thing probably wouldn't work as he is only a few years older than me. Maybe I could be his long lost brother. What ever it takes. lol

He's probably been asked so many times to sell the car that he just blows off anyone who asks. Take some real cash over and show it to him to let him know you're serious. Money talks, as we all know. Better yet, take a fart-piped Civic over and offer it in trade! I'll bet the kid would go for the deal.

The car is on a back road that doesn't get a lot of traffic. I have been living here 3 1/2 years and just found out about it. The guy was actually pretty nice. I drove my 68 Beaumont SD396. He knows a little about muscle cars so it peaked his interest a little as he had never heard of a Beaumont. We talked for 30 minutes or so. There are a couple other cars rusting away within a couple miles of me, 55 Chevy 2 door post, 68 Mustang and a couple Corvettes. One guy has 3 Corvettes rusting away in his yard, a 58, a 63 split window and a 71. The 58 and 63 are covered with tarps but the 71 looks to be drivable. I have never saw what the 58 looks live but the 63 is pretty rough. It has been sitting for 20 or more years. I talked to the owner of these and got the same story, not interested in selling either car. He also has 2 40 Ford coupes sitting there.
