I thnk Phil said he thought the RA4 TA at Barrett was the one from Ca. he was going to buy untill the seller disclosed that it was a re-body.

If it's the column shift car from the bay area then it's true. The seller at that time didn't exactly come forward with info. He initially denied it being a rebody. It was when we told him we wanted to pull the cowl vent that he made the disclosure. I'm not sure if this is the same owner. With only 55 raIVs built it should go high unless everyone knows the truth. Too bad it's not the only high end rebody at auction next week.

Phil,

Did the factory put VIN's on the cowl vent on the 69 TA's. I found the VIN stamped upside down on my 69 and 70 Judge's heater box opening on the firewall. I didnt know they did firebirds. I have never noticed them before.

A friend of mine showed me on his T/A wher they are. I have neve heard of that before. Learn something new all the time.....

Yes, Charlie & Phil are correct on status of 69 RAIV column
shift TA. When I had my 69 RAIV TA restored, I found the vin# stamped behind heater box & on top of the cowl.
