Larry listen to Marlin and Ken S as they have both restored Novas. I saw the car with my own eyes and if you want to do the car right it could use new quarters, tail pannel, and a rear deck lid. (which you were already lucky enough to have gotten with the car)

Since the car needs a total repaint, probably a new tailpan, the front sub completely detailed, among other items that you will discover as you proceed, there is really no 'survivor' status left. The original drivetrain is great, and the interior is nice, but this car is not a survivor. I'd pull the 1/4's off, replace the outers, and brag about all the original items and hardware that you only have to clean up and reuse
![]() BTW, love the color! No v/t, no moldings, XT's, 4sp, 731, when is my luck showing up = jealousy ![]()

Man I only have one XT wheel on the car. It does have a small letter Goodyear G-70 white letter turned in on the RF. all the others seem to be 70 vintage wheels. I am hopeing for someone to need them and that they will have the wheels that I need to trade.
Of course I am planning on putting a set of Rallys on it so that I can have radials to show it off on the street once in a while. But, I do want to have the original wheels and hubcaps for big shows like SCR8 when I expect to have it finished and ready to show off. I know the more I look at it the more that I find to like about it. Especially the Olympic Gold color. It is growing on me everyday. I realize the survior part is long gone. The thing I find most important is that it is not a total clapped out shell. The floors and everything about it are showing so little damage I just hate to try to change out the Qtrs because the trunk is so nice inside. I live a mile from where the Power Tour stops here in Tulsa this summer and I am sure that a couple of members of this forum will want to try to get a peek at it while they are in town. By then I will know more about just which way I plan on doing the car. I am more of a go person than a "Show" person so I just may do a quality Day 2 on it. I think it would be fun to see it run down the strip once again. These cars were destined for that.

Larry
As I told Darrel,I think your Olympic Gold Nova would stand out VERY well with Red Line tires on SS rims or even Mag Wheel covers. ![]() |

No hubcaps for me. It will be hard to keep the pair of keystone front mags I have in storage, off it along with a pair of slicks on black rim's on the back.
Of course a set of Hooker headers would go nicely with the traction bars and air shocks that are already on the car. Of course I was alway partial to American 200-S mags too. I also think a set of red lines would go good too. ![]() Damm you guys need to quit making me think about racing again. ![]() I have to put this baby in storage and forget about it in about a week and get cracking on the Motion cars. ![]() |

My vote would be 15x4 and 15x7 Cragar S/S mags---as an extra set of wheels/tires to swap on once in a while, naturally. Cragars with redlines would look sweet too. So would body-color steel wheels with "COPO" caps. And, and, and...
