[ QUOTE ]
I am sure of the number. what do you think that is off of? I looked at all the later years and none has chrome around the light like this one. All of them were black next to the light???? Go figure... [/ QUOTE ] That headlight bezel is from a '68 Nova, non-SS. For correctness, it is a one-year-only part. The 69 bezels had headlight aiming/adjustment slots in them and were black around the headlight. The 70-72 were similar to the '69, but they also had a vertical rib down the middle of the hump.

The LF '69 Bezel that you just described sounds like the one that I have. Now I just need to find a RH one to match it.
Perhaps this car has had a RF fender changed at one time. the inner wheel wells look like new ones. Thanks for the info. |

As I am absorbing more & more info about Novas as I can,I was under the impression that the early built Novas had their door hinges welded, and later was bolted. Is this true, and what are the ones on your Nova like?
Thanks. |

Larry listen to Marlin and Ken S as they have both restored Novas. I saw the car with my own eyes and if you want to do the car right it could use new quarters, tail pannel, and a rear deck lid. (which you were already lucky enough to have gotten with the car)

Since the car needs a total repaint, probably a new tailpan, the front sub completely detailed, among other items that you will discover as you proceed, there is really no 'survivor' status left. The original drivetrain is great, and the interior is nice, but this car is not a survivor. I'd pull the 1/4's off, replace the outers, and brag about all the original items and hardware that you only have to clean up and reuse
BTW, love the color! No v/t, no moldings, XT's, 4sp, 731, when is my luck showing up = jealousy ![]()

I have a pair of correct '69 headlight bezels. Email me at: [email protected] if you are interested.
Click the link below to see them. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...23777130dJhDOY Novas built from the 68 model year through December 1969 ('70 model) have bolt-on door hinges. Based on my observations, Novas built from Jan. '70 forward have weld-on hinges.
