Keep the original CA plates and dealer frames on them too. My opinion is leave them pretty much as-is. Yes, clean them up (owl dung is not really a "patina" item) and then preserve them as time capsules.
Those K-H mags are so cool on that '63---leave them on the car! Just put on a new set of belted pinstripe whitewalls. Oh, and the "327" on the green 63's plates is very cool. "FLV 327" almost sounds like "FueLie Vette 327." What a score. I can almost hear Jan and Dean coming from the radio in the red '63.

Charley, congrats and what an awesome find. These are the best stories that keep us all on the look out for the diamond or in your case diamonds in the barn. Thanks for sharing!
