The 68 ram air cars had plastic open hood scoops
The 69 ram air cars were opened or closed by a cable which routed under the dash to a knob....like this

I never new that...I thought they only put the engine number on them...makes sense a VIN would be somewhere !On another note....was the front air dam on a 70 semi-gloss,gloss or body color ???
