Both. It was pretty much up to the cars owner preferences and pocketbook. I would venture to say that the vast majority of the Motion modded 69's were of the big block variety. There were however a few small block engine packages/upgrades available from Motion also.

Weren't the small block cars known as Z30's or something like that? It seems that all you ever see in the magazines are the big-block cars; I don't think I've ever seen a small block Motion Camaro featured anywhwere.

I do recall an article (HP Cars probably) on the Motion 'Green Meanie' (?). There was a discussion about this one awhile ago in this forum about it. It was a green/white striped, cross-ram engined 69 w/ an L-88 hood and I believe it was built from a Z. And yes, I think the engine in that one was a "Z30".

I tried to do a search in the forum and come up w/ the posted pics of the article but came up short. Anyone remember the thread?
