I talked with the owner Richard English and he told me the car was rolled over and needs the roof replaced so he decided to do the whole car. He is asking $120k US for the car finished.

I don't get it. If the car is totally restored wouldn't the fact that it's low mileage be irrelevant? I'm guessing the $120k price is predicated on the low mileage distinguishing it from any other totally restored Z/28 (one with 101,700 miles vs. 1,700 for odometer purposes).

Looking at the pictures of the cars is showing me that they are not really that nice. You need to put the square tires on those cars if you want to get big bucks. They all look like they need to be cleaned up a little. Can't see any motor detail. Sam

Funny how he doesn't have any pictures of the car before the resto. If I had a 1,700 mile car, I would just replace the roof and that's it. I'm always leary of these cars that "come out of nowhere". There's not even any mention of it on his website. If you can't show recent pictures of the car before the restoration was started, it was probably a tag. Someone should ask him for pics.

Now the 1700 mile guy has relisted the add with the title "Sale Pending". I guess there are quite a few guys out there with a spare $120k for an RS Z/28.
