128 miles since restoration. Very nice car. Need to remove my favorite sticker from it though.

The Ford "Caution" sticker on the fan shroud...

Charlie I agree it looks like a very nice car. At what point does better than new detract from the car on a properly restored car? I mean it's got the details like body color over spray on the undercarage but crisp lines between the firewall and cowl. Don't take this wrong, I'm not bashing the car I just find it interesting because so many cars have so much time and money put into them to insure they are correct in every detail except then more time and money goes into them and they are given that show car finish, I guess you could say over restored.

I think thats the car that was sold at the Russo Steele auction. That was definetly a first class resto. The paint was incredible.

It was at Russo and Steele but did not sell. I just ribbed Mike about the "Caution Fan" Sticker. He is at the Kruse Auction in Az and says it looks pretty desolate.

I am with you guys on the over-restored cars...If you could take a car that just came off of the Norwood Line in '69 and put it in a car show the judges probably would not even place it in the top 3 in show. Now how screwed up is that?

I've read that NCRS judges will deduct points if your Corvette's paint doesn't have the factory orange-peel.

Some of us just like to restore these old cars the way the GENERAL wished they could have be done, if it weren't for mass production and assembly lines, etc. making guys rush to get things done....I don't know many guys that don't want their car to look the BEST it can, not the way some 60's line worker did it...but better!

I thought that car sold, I heard them say the reserve was off the car was for sale. The person I talked to who said he owned the car was not a dealer and now I see a dealer owns it.

Thanks Charley, as the ad is a little mis-leading, as it indicates the mileage to be 134.
