Copo Chevelle was Stephano's old one that used to be part of a pair. Looked like a decent car. I think the smog was missing. Column shift auto. Stephano can fill you in as he is here also.

I still can't believe that Zeffer street rod sold for $400K. It's a nice looking car, but it didn't have the technology of a lot of other street rods. It must have been the engine that got those guys so pumped up.

What was the deal with the 68 L89 Chevelle convertible? Is it a real L89 car? If so, why didn't it sell for more? I figured it would bring $100K if it was documented. I think it sold for $64K.

Regarding the '68 L89 Chevelle convertible......

There has never been any documentation discovered to support that GM ever built such a car is what I have read. I've never seen it noted in any production total breakdowns by numerous sources. As the description reads with the car at BJ it claims "believed to be". Doesn't mean one didn't fly under the radar and get produced but skepticism remains. Dealer conversion?

One thing is for sure, I was impressed by the guy that purchased all 4 Calloway Corvettes. WOW, $675,000 worth of power!

I know Stefano owned an Orange Manual trans. COPO Chevelle, last digits were #270.
The one that sold at B/J has an Auto. on Column.
I wonder if that one was Jeff L.'s old Chevelle?
Anyone copy the VIN# on that one?
Rick
