With that trim tag it had to have had stripes. No SS ever (except Z10's and Z11'S) got the rally stripes "from the factory".

Could have had D90 "Sport Striping", the hockey stick side stripes, or DX1 Sport Striping that was a modified bumblebee stripe that ran up the center of the hood on both sides of the hood centerline.

D96 "Body Side Paint Stripe" was fender pinstriping used on early Z22 cars, and the Z10/Z11's.

The ONLY stripe used on 69 Camaro SS was the D90.

The factory ordering info clearly states no other striping was available with Camaro SS. A very few SS were ordered stripe delete.

I'll post the pic they're not there,we're trying to contact orig. owner but it appears SHE has taken a new last name due to marriage, she owned the car 8 yrs, we have all owners bill of sales and insurance vouchers from 69-on., plus a few registrations. Also has a nice set of slotted 1 piece aluminum rims on it, so orig rims didn't last long on it, maybe about 6yrs.

Turns out that Fisher did not code the trim tag for a D90 stripe delete on an SS, like they did for Z28's. GM put the whole stripe on, Fisher had nothing to do with it so no need for them to put the special paint instruction code on the trim tag. So the only documents that would show the lack of stripe would be the window sticker or body broadcast sheet.
