I would like you all to entertain a couple of assumptions.

One, lets assume the engine code WY sticker was how the car was delivered.

Two, then assume it has to be one of two possible engine blocks.

Below is a chart from H.O. Racing, since the car was probably built in late 68 it must be either a 68 or 69 coded block. So what choices does that leave you with?

Since it's a '69 car, it must be a RAV engine. Pontiac must've used the WY blocks in '69 to put the RAV intake, cams, et al.

But to imply that the car came with a '68 engine is well, cuckoo!
