I took the car to the Mecum auction last week and I did not sell it. Instead of hauling it back, I left it with Stefano. Who better to leave a COPO with?

So why isn't the original engine with the car? If it's where abouts are known then shouldn't it be with/in the car to command that kind of a price.

It has a properly dated "restoration" block. The current owner of the original block does not want to sell it.

An original sheet metal, original drive train COPO, in this condition would have a much higher asking price than the current asking price of $210,000.00.

Interesting. That's a shame about the current owner of the block. I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I had an engine that belonged in a car of that caliber.

May I ask a few questions please ?????

1) I have seen pictures recently of several 69 COPO's (Yenko's) that have FIRESTONE WideOval RWL Tires. Seems that I had read previously that Goodyear Wide Tread RWL were most correct in 1969. I was thinking that the FIRESTONE was not correct until 1970 like on my 70 SS Camaros.

2) Which 1969 Camaro COPO's received Black rocker panels and/or Black Tailpanels like Don Stowers YENKO. I have an X-11 Camaro that I would like to add the Black rocker panels (in WHAT shade of Black??) and also add the small pin stripe to fenders and qtr panel......but what about Black Tailpanel???

Please explain !!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck, black tail panel & rockers would be an X-66 coded Yenko/COPO, X-11 would get just the rockers, and X-44 neither.
