I don't think I was bragging. I was just very happy to finally come up with the names and addresses of the previous owners of my cars. If anything you should be happy for me, and not give me a [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img] As for a favor, I was going to share all the info with a couple of you this week sometime, but I am now hesitant due to a couple of negative threads/PM's I have received. I would be thrilled to read that another musclecar member finally found the answers he has been searching for. Mark, and others,
If you only have the VIN, this task can be a lot harder than just running down to your local court house. A lot depends on the state that you are searching in. PA is fairly easy, but you get minimal information, IA and MD are excellent, Virginia and New Jersey are pretty difficult. Let me know with a PM what state you are searching in, and I can try to help as best I can.

I need someone in NY to run one for me on my '69 Motion Vette. I am at a deadend otherwise. I don't have a clue as to how to locate the original owner after Joel. If anybody could do it for me I would be glad to pay them for their time.

We are all happy for you. The idea of this forum is to share information, which means sometimes you give, and other times you take. You do have a choice, no one is forcing you not to share your experience. If you choose not to share, that's more of a reflection on you, not whomever offended you.
