Well, a pure stock buddy of mine bought an inatke for a 427 Ford that had a duo of these carbs mounted on it, and he was curious if there was any demand or value in these carbs. Just curious, are these 780cfm units?

Rob;
I'm not sure on the cfm ratings as my Holley performance catalog doesn't cover this carb in detail; however, my IPS Holley catalog does show that it takes 172 primary and 173 secondary throttle blades, which are 1 11/16". Can you find out what size the venturi diamaters are (primary and secondary, they may be different) and what style of boosters they have? That will give a fairly good indication of the cfm of these carbs. The IPS catalog does show it as being a 4160 style carb (secondary metering plate instead of a block), the primary block being a #5812, and a secondary plate #34R-2007-31. As far as demand or market value, I'm not sure; I could check around tomorrow and see if I can find anymore info on them if you'd like. HTH Eric |
