I checked mine tonight, and although the date is hard to read, i think its 12-68. As for the new GM pieces, they dont look much like an original, in that the part number is cast in a totally different place (on the carb flange instead of the runner) and the texture of the casting is much rougher than the production line pieces. Nice looking intake, but really only good for a driver, or someone unconcerned with an original/correct appearance.

I have late 163 off of a crate engine and it is casted by Zeus, not Winters. Any new over the counter chevy intake would be way off target.
I am a toolmaker machinist and can remove those plugs without even scratching the manifold. If anyone is interested. Ron |
