Matt,
"REDZ" was thinking along the same lines as I was. If I recall one of the previous owner's comments correctly, the car that I referenced (194379S914904) was raced pretty hard in amatuer autocross/rally events, was disassembled and preparations made to turn it into a full fledged race car. The owner at the time thought the better of it and restored/reassembled it for the "Earthqhake '88" event that you mentioned. The background information that you posted about the car sounded very similar to the car that I mentioned, which is why I asked. Being in the market for a 1969 L-88, I'm still curious as to the history as well as what Jim is looking to get for this car. Regardless, Jim's car looks absolutely fantastic! Hopefully I'll get a chance to see it in person at the Bloomington Gold event next week. Regards, Stan Falenski |
