This guy states la/vn cars had x codes at the beginning of the 560000 vins. Any truth to this or just myth and hog wash?

LOS or Van Nuys cars did not get an "X" code only the Norwood cars did. At least he is correct in the fact that his car did not get one. Buying a 69 396 SS one should look for more in the car I.E. build sheet/POP/Partial VINs both on the engine/tranny and on the firewall/under cowl panel. Also check the engines build date and engine suffix. Along with a host of other things to check.
