Thanks for your help Jeff. I also found that the HT code appeared on 65-67 'Vettes' as a 327/350 RPO L79.
The motor is in a 56 Chevy which is for sale. It does have a duel snorkle chrome air cleaner which is vintage. Can anyone else chime in on this one?

Full size chevs were also built at St Louis. The "F" in the VIN derivative means Flint Assy Plant which built Full size chevys and confirms this block is out of a full size chev.

Also full size chevy used a Q-jet carb were the vette L-79
used a holley carb |

Gents,
Thanks for your replys. The motor does have a casting # 3795397 alumium intake manifold which seems to be a 62 Vette with a Rochester 4-BBl carb. I realize parts can be changed thru the years. Trying to determine if this motor is a 'diamond in the ruff' and worth saving.
