Great pics there Chris!

I went ahead and got a couple more pictures of different applications from Dave, just for those interested.

Default Tach drive (Corvette) small body HEI

This first picture is of a full HEI setup in a tach drive (Corvette)) distributor. Due to the tach drive assembly, the module is remote mounted...but, if you remove the module, then you are left with an MSD trigger conversion for those fans of the "red boxes".

Default Small body HEI w/module

This second picture is of a small body Chevrolet distributor converted to HEI, with the module mounted on the bottom of the distributor housing.

Default Small body w/MSD hookup

And here is a stock small body distributor with the MSD magnetic trigger installed (shown with optional Crane adjustable vacuum advance)...just plug it into your favorite MSD box and go.

Interesting bit of irony...

...it seems the Pertonix unit in our Camaro crapped out on us today. Oh well, it was
time to "upgrade" anyway...

You won't be dissapointed in one of David Ray's HEI distributors or msd triggers. I have one and have been using it for almost 2 years. If you're out on the road any parts store will have replacement parts. You won't be making any over night stays waiting on a special order petronix replacement.

Dave starts with your points core and basically blueprints it, rechromes the shaft and builds it back all cleaned up and put back together as an HEI. He'll build the curve to your spec's or you can provide the specifics of your mill and he'll provide a recomedation for you. Dave requires you to use an Accel 8140 coil that you can paint black and will look stock. I am using petronix 8mm black wires with straight ends at the cap (I had to hunt to find the ends and boots) and I think it looks real good. I'll see if I can get a pic posted...

You can tell Dave that Dennis from Team Camaro says hi..
