Damn, and you guys in Norway never bother anybody,For some reason the Oil Barons don't like your Country neither.I don't think there are many Countries that the US has helped out of JAMS in the past care too much for us anymore
Look at South Korea, the young people there do not like the USA at all,and if it was not for the USA the young generation may not even be here with us today!!

Norways high gas problems are not cause by oil barons but a far left liberal/socialist agenda of a cradle to grave nanny state. Most of that $5.80 per gallon is taxes. Another cause is the wacko enviromentalist "greens" in many of the European countries have gained power in the last few decades and through legislation want people out of their cars and into mass transit. High gas taxes are one way of doing it.

Sad to say but the US is heading in that general direction of a cradle to grave nanny state. What's worse is most American people are sheeple and don't care.

P.S. Just talked with a Mustang friend of mine in Victoria Australia and they have banned sandblasting because it hurts the environment.

Yes Victoria has banned sandblasting. I don't think all of Australia but just that area that I know of. The edict was sandblasting creates dust microns which are above a certain size that are not allowed to get in the atmosphere. Companies are still allowed to sandblast but they have to have the equivelant of a downdraft paint booth to control/filter/recycle the dust. Home type sandblasters the hobbyist used have been outlawed and there are major fines if getting caught using one.

Look at our own Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. Some counties have outlawed backyard barbeques and now you are not allowed in some locales to burn wood in your fireplace as it creates smoke pollution.
The Green Party in Europe is very strong. In the US it would be the equivelant if Ralph Naders party got into power. You know the same guy that killed the corvair, does not have a drivers license and has emphatically stated he would create legislation to get cars off the road in mass numbers and require people to use mass transit.
Much of the legislation behind the Green party is not about the environment but "people control" as they are tied in with the socialist & communist parties to build their power base.
Notice who was protesting the war against Irag in out own cities? Look at the bottom of the signs they were carrying. Tada it was sponsored by the Workers Party of America which is/has been a communist based organization and at one time was funded by the USSR before they went bellyup.

Sorry for the rant.
