92646..I think you were looking at old results, not this years. I think Reggies Deuce was mostly orig. paint that was presentable. There was a very nice Blue 68Z, not sure of the price. 67 Z looked decent, somebody probably got a deal. Reggies white Yenko Chevelle is a nice car. It is a older Tinnell resto with the white Cad plated bolts that Dwiggins always insisted on. The Olympic gold 69 L78 convert was a neat car that every time the current owner touched it he screwed something up. He bolted on a spoiler, he painted the subframe, he painted the rockers, looks like he clear coated the hood. Close examination of the orig. blacked out tail panel seems to confirm Gloss Black versus Semi. Red 69 Crossram Z28 at Russo and Steele sold for about 60K. The body seems to have been prepped wrong and the paint is cracking, shrinking etc. Pro Touring Dodge Charger with the Viper engine brought 105K. Boyds Aluma Truck only brought 80K, he must be very sick. There had to be a forune in that truck. My old Blue 68 Yenko brought 98K. I heard the Lamar Walden COPO sold for good money but I don't remember how much. There was something for everybody there. People paid stupid money and People got great deals.

Jeff,

The 67 Z is a nice driver and probably sold for what it was worth IMHO. Wagner's had the car 2 years ago and I was offered it for $30K - I thought it was worth about $28K at the time. They took it to BJ and got $35K for it. The new owner emailed me and wanted $45K about 6 months later! I guess he didn't get $45K, eh?

The car has no docs, 10 foot paint with metalic clumping here and there, replaced quarters, some roof/door dents. Great car to hit the cruise nights with.

Just returned home!! Too much fun! Great to see a bunch of you guys there. Flew home seated next to a German journalist who is doing a story for the German issue of Playboy on the auction, very interesting to get her perception. The truck I bought is really nice. He had it for 12 years, and completed it with all new chrome and stainless, 3" stainless Borla exhaust, new paint and interior, 383 stroker motor, factory air and tach. The fuel tank was replaced with a Blazer 30 gal tank under the bed. I figured that the $20k I paid would just about cover the resto costs if you had a free truck to start with!! It should arrive tomorrow. The white COPO at Russo Steele sold for $89k. The biggest surprise to me was the red '69 crossram Z that sold for $67k plus 8% buyers commission!! Also got a kick out of the guy that bought the Tony Stewart Winstoncup car for $89k!! So as I have stated in earlier posts "just because it is a REGGIE car is it really worth 25%+ more?" Wow! Sounds like the russo and steele auction had some big money buyers in the audiance. Good job on that little 69 red crossram Z car bringing $67,000.00. Even with a couple of paint flaws in the driver quarter. You just never know what the market is going to do. Great job to all you guys reporting from BJ. Thanks

I wasn't just talking about the cracks in the 1/4. There was shrinkage and activity in the paint just about everywhere on the car. I guess you could cut and rub it but it will still keep coming back.

OK I'm a dweeb. Everyone is right I was looking at old dates. I could not take the Speedvision show anymore so I went to web site instead. I got so excited by the prices that I did not look at all the details. But it could have been worse, I was going to the bank Monday to secure a credit line so I could go buy a supercar that I thought I could afford now.Its amazing I just missed the red crossram car when it sold on e-bay for $34,800 six months ago and now it sells for $67,000. At this rate I will never afford a neat car. To everybody sorry for the mistake.
