Hard to see the script on one picture due to focus but it looks like the one on my 1970 Nova big block. The numbering on mine is DR1114434. Mine is the original unit. Ron

Ron, Could you look at your original piece and see if there is a trace of a brown sealant around the edge? I bought a repop from Paragon to use on my car until I UNCOVER the original somewhere in the garage. I too have heard that the originals have the brown residue at the seal.

Picture of Brown sealant. I have a NOS 432 with a broken plastic hose valve that has a carmel colored transparent resin at the same spot. I have seen a few on which you could not see the sealant on the picture. Greg
