Yeah-but, another member who owns all of the above thinks that '67s are worth 25K more than '69s, because of rarity. The recent sale of a '67 for 175 lends credance to this belief. It seems like the demand for '67s & '68s is way up because so many '69s have been found & restored. The low number of the earlier cars might finally be catching on as a price factor. For instance: 1 of 7 '71 Hemi Cuda converts $800,000+. Makes a 1 of 7 or 8[existing] Yenko Camaro of either year quite a bargain at $175 doesn't it?

Sixties...How can you say that up until a few weeks ago 67's were never worth a 69 ? When I bought the Blue 68 I paid 35K I think. At that same time Vince was offering me a basket case White 67 for about 55K. Supercars bought the white one and had it restored. He then sold it for over 100K I believe. Around the time I bought the 68, 69's were selling in the 50's and 60's. When Supercars sold the White 67, I don't think any 69's were over 100K. The Orange 69 you just had sold for about 54K at that time. I have no Idea why but it seems to me 67's just bring more.

As everybody has seen on this sight and elsewhere, all of the above mentioned years command sizeable prices. IMO, it comes down ones preference of year. I would personally pay more for a 69 compared to a 67 or 68 of comparable quality. I do not think that you can place a value stature on these cars. A good analogy would be someone who would pay $100,000 for a stamp or a baseball card. It is all about what you are into. We will probably continue to see these cars, regardless of the year, out do each other on a case by case or a preference basis.

Regardless of production figures or price ..I think if you had to choose only 1 for your garage it would be the 69.Something about those stripes !!!!

I know of one 1969 Yenko that sold for well over $100,000.00 two years ago.
So based on the '67 vs '68 thing Supply and Demand which will comand more $$$$ a 67' or '68 Baldwin/Motion Camaro? |

Bill, to answer your question, I know of 14 documented cars for 68 that still exist. Twelve, possibly all, have been restored. Someone else may shed more light on it if the discussion ever comes back around to it ............RatPack..................

Thanks RatPack, thats the number I was looking for. When you say that there are 14 known to exist are you dealing with some sort of list or just your knowledge of specific cars? Are you counting my car, YS-8051? I'm trying to
find someone with a number close to mine that might have some paperwork they could share. Thanks |
