Casey, my opinion would be that if it were an original 427 car, it is worth the $6K regardless of it's heritage. Frames can be purchased for a resonable amount and is a very easy swap. What the hell, you need another project anyway. Maybe you could use this engine in your Biscayne while you are putting a new frame under the Vette. Let us know what you decide.

Casey,
I agree. Sounds like a good buy. I would look very closely at the birdcage area though. If it is badly rusted you could run into problems. Check to see how the doors close and if they droop excessively. Also, look at the windshield pillars and top section of the windshield for signs of rust. You may want to get onto the NCRS.org tech board to find out other tell-tale signs. Good luck! Mike

Casey does it have the original gas tank? It might be worth it to drop the tank to see if their is a tank sticker to document this Vette's history.
