Both sure are fine looking cars Jeff. That Z16 certainly turns my crank. Wonder what the asking prices are?

Im not sure what the asking prices are but I know Terry G has the other red proto-type and Dan Blocker's yellow Z16, Unless this one is Terry's Red one. The second one has still yet to be located.

It just happens that I was talking to a well known local Corvette/Muscle Car/Street Rod dealer today and the conversation turned to cool cars we should have purchased but didn't.
His story was about a Yellow Z16 Chevelle which he test drove with his father ,when it was new, at no other than Jack Douglass Chevrolet, Inc. He said the sales person's last name was Duffy and he was so protective of the Special Car that they decided not to purchase it??? |

I asked Mr. Douglass about the Z16 story. He confirmed and said that he had purchased two, a Black one and a Yellow one.
He purchased them from the Central Office. He did not order them. They both had a couple thousand miles when he received them. He said that both had vinyl tops and were loaded with options such as power windows. He said that his GM Tom Dumass Drove the Black one as a demo until it was sold. |
