i have it 418 units from another car 05d x11, i would take off the ss emblem and try to lightly strip off the paint underneath to see if there was a bowtie there at one time, do a careful tear down and be checking for any crayon marks on the body panels or trans crossmember etc. i have heard that easy off oven cleaner

works pretty good for this.
