[ QUOTE ]
The car has a factory cowl induction set up and you can tell it has been on the car for years,

[/ QUOTE ] You are aware that there are ways to tell an original cowl car without relying on the age of the air cleaner, right?

Chuck,I know what to look for on a factory cowl hood car. From looking at this car it was that way from the factory.

i have it 418 units from another car 05d x11, i would take off the ss emblem and try to lightly strip off the paint underneath to see if there was a bowtie there at one time, do a careful tear down and be checking for any crayon marks on the body panels or trans crossmember etc. i have heard that easy off oven cleaner works pretty good for this.
