Reedman is 10 mins from my home I bought my blazer there
worked there in the early 70s yes there was a few LS-6 there
this place is huge they have guard towers to watch the cars
24/7 they leave the keys in the cars there are so many cars that they whould end up losing keys so they just leave them in the cars Norm

My LS6 was originally sold at Reedman. They moved a lot of hipo cars, and are still rated the largest auto dealer in the US. Quite a place. I have a postcard from 1970 showing an aerial view of the facility. Pretty amazing.

I just picked up a pair of the metal Reedman dealer emblems. Growing up, I remembered seeing those emblems on many cars in the area.

I've been told that they actually buy their inventory, unlike most dealers so they are able to maximize their profit on each sale. Are any of the salesmen here able to explain this better?

------Most dealerships floorplan thier cars with a lending entity. Most GM dealerships use GMAC,but they dont have to.A different division than the one you and I might use.If Reedman has deep enough pockets to finance themselves they will eke out a little bit more profit. This is generally the sign of a very financially solid dealer.
------Conversely(at least in my day)a dealer owned his used inventory outright. If a dealership had to floorplan the used and new inventory it was considered to be on shaky ground!Dont know that has changed over the years.Dont think so.............Bill S

Paul, where did you get the emblems? I would love to get one to set my car back to original. It was sold at Reedman in 1970.
