Out of the 13 1969 Yenko Camaros going to the show, How many of them have the original motor? And how many are left in the world?

Somebody please respond to this nice fellow with some general "facts". Sure, there is no way to know for certain, and, some might take his questions the wrong way, but, how about a good old fashioned Yenko expert's guess.

It is a difficult question to answer. Some Yenkos do have the original engine some have a correct numbers engine with a restamped deck pad, some may have CE blocks. I would guess that most do not have the original since many of the cars were raced. There are even some nuts that still race them today. I believe the answer to the question the way it was phrased would be 0. Yenko transplanted all the "original" engines to 427s. The answer to the question the way I think he meant it is irrelevant, as there really isn't anyway to tell without documentation running all the way back to the first owner. Yenko didn't identify the 427s that were transplanted to the best of my knowledge. It is the original Yenko vehicle itself, with its verifiable VIN that matters, not whether it has the "original" or "original transplant" motor, at least in my mind.

All 69 Yenko Camaros had their 427's installed by Chevrolet, hence they would have the partial VIN stamped in the block just like other cars. The 67's and 68's were transplants.

I wonder where they got their info: "Quarter mile: 13.05 sec. at 105.5 mph"...that's almost EXACTLY what I repeatedly ran this past weekend.
